Finidi George pledges to lead Super Eagles to 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification

Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, have a mission of securing a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and their new coach, Finidi George, is determined to make it happen. In a recent interview, Finidi George has expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring Nigeria’s qualification for the prestigious tournament, set to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.Best porn XXX. Currently, Nigeria’s qualifying journey has hit a rough patch, with the team sitting in third place in their group, behind Rwanda and South Africa, with just two points. The upcoming matches against South Africa and Benin in June are crucial for the Super Eagles’ chances of overtaking their rivals and securing a spot in the World Cup. Despite being relatively new to the role of head coach, George is undaunted by the challenges ahead. He acknowledges the disappointment of Nigeria’s recent friendly defeat against Mali but remains focused on the task at hand. The former Ajax Amsterdam winger emphasizes that with the support of Nigerians, the team can achieve their goals. In his words, George stresses the collective responsibility of all Nigerians in the quest for World Cup qualification. “The World Cup qualification matches against South Africa and the Benin Republic is a collective responsibility for all Nigerians,” Finidi said, as per Complete Sports. “I know I am in charge now, and the heavy responsibility is on me to win the two world cup matches. “I will do my best to ensure success and qualify for the World Cup. I am also in touch with the players, and they are ready and willing to give their all, having missed out on the last edition held in Qatar. “In terms of having knowledge of our opponents, I have been following them. “The world today is a global village; one can monitor anything in the comfort of his/ her sitting room. “We need prayers and support from everybody; this is our own; we can do it and do it well. “I watch our players weekly as they play in their various clubs. Honestly, my target is to win the two matches and not to be judged with the two international friendly games played.” With his sights set firmly on securing wins in the upcoming matches, Finidi George is determined to write a new chapter of success for Nigerian football on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.   This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. The latest update on the price shows that the cheapest ticket costs $555, and the highest ticket goes up to $3000+. The only NBA team that has a ticket that costs more is the Golden State Warriors, with the cheapest ticket costing $611. Undoubtedly, the major driving force behind this is none other than Clark. The Iowa superstar has been nothing short of phenomenal. From breaking the record of the most three-point shots in a season, being the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer to her famed long distance three-point shots, people travel thousands of miles to watch the Hawkeye guard. So much so that her influence has earned the nickname the Caitlin Clark effect. People are ready to pay whatever the price to see the “women’s Steph Curry” dominate the court and crush her opponents. But it’s not just the prices that have seen a major change. The Iowa-LSU Elite Eight matchup was the most-watched college basketball ever on ESPN. The viewers reached a record 12 million! Clearly, the gap between men and women in basketball is lessening day after day. But it wasn’t so always. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad The first occasion happened in the 1970s. The federal law, known as Title IX, forced the NCAA to provide equal opportunities to women. Fast forward to the ’90s, and we see the creation of the Women’s National Basketball League in 1996. This allowed women to pursue their passion at a professional level. But it was only a crack in the hard shell that was gender disparity. By the time social media gained major attention, the third and perhaps the most important event took place. In 2021, an athlete from Oregon University women’s basketball team posted a video on TikTok. The video showed the facilities provided by a NCAA tournament for women as opposed to men. The men’s facility had everything – workout platforms, dumbbells, barbells with weights that went up to hundreds. In contrast, all the women had was a single tower of dumbbells that went to just 30 pounds and a few yoga mats. Needless to say, the video went viral. Immediate investigations by an outside law firm were conducted. And the necessary changes were made. Even with all these changes, the women’s tournament wasn’t allowed to use the March Madness trademarked logo until the 2022 season. Of course, the changes are happening faster and more favorably now, but we still have a long way to go. Knicks adding Hall of Fame player to Tom Thibodeaus coaching staff

Tom Thibodeau is adding an assistant coach who has been in the game even longer than he has. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Thursday that the Knicks are planning to hire Maurice Cheeks as an assistant coach. The 67-year-old had spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach for the Chicago Bulls under Billy Donovan.Best porn XXX. Cheeks was a standout player for the Philadelphia 76ers and four other NBA teams (including the Knicks themselves from 1990-91). He made four All-Star teams, earned five All-Defensive nods and started at point guard on the 76ers’ last NBA championship team in 1983. Cheeks eventually got his No. 10 jersey retired by the 76ers and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. To the younger generations, Cheeks is known more so for his lengthy career in coaching. He was an NBA head coach for a total of nine seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, the 76ers, and the Detroit Pistons, compiling a total record of 305-315 (.492) with three playoff berths. Cheeks then went on to become an assistant coach on the Oklahoma City Thunder for nine total seasons before following Donovan to the Bulls in 2020. The Knicks present an appealing landing spot with their All-Star duo of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle flanked by a number of talented role pieces. They also have some openings to fill on Thibodeau’s staff as his associate head coach may end up leaving for a different East team. Defeated again but gutsy Rabbitohs fighting for coach Jason Demetriou says Cody Walker

After a gutsy outing that ended in their fifth loss of the season South Sydney players are still fighting for coach Jason Demetriou, says Rabbitohs playmaker Cody Walker. Torn apart by injuries and left with only one man on the bench for the second half, the Rabbitohs turned in their most spirited performance of the season on Saturday against Cronulla.Best porn XXX. Despite being down 28-12 after 67 minutes, Souths rallied, scoring twice to cut the lead to six points with five minutes remaining. But their 34-22 defeat was their fifth loss in six games to start the year, leaving the proud club last on the ladder ahead of next week’s bye and without their star fullback Latrell Mitchell for matches against ladder-leading Melbourne and premiers Penrith. South Sydney officials had conceded they may need to do some “hard thinking” if the embattled side did not show more determination against Cronulla. But with captain Cameron Murray unable to return to the field after a HIA in the first half, and close to $4 million in talent on the sidelines, Walker insisted the players were still putting in the effort for Demetriou. “We always try and go out there and fight for the jersey and fight for the coach,” Walker said. “We’ve got tremendous respect for JD and how much work he puts in. We wanted to show that tonight. I thought we did that. “The scoreline probably doesn’t reflect the tightness in the game. But you can see the effort and the energy.” While Murray should return from his concussion for Souths’ next game against Melbourne on April 25, Tyrone Munro (collarbone) and Tevita Tatola (foot) remain in serious doubt. It’s also questionable whether Demetriou will be still there on Anzac Day. The Souths coach said on Saturday night he expected to hold onto his position, after a run that has brought just five wins in 19 games since his side topped the table last May. “Nobody’s told me otherwise,” Demetriou said last night. The Rabbitohs’ defence remains a big issue – they have conceded 26 points or more in 15 of those games. Yet Demetriou said he was impressed by Saturday night’s effort. Sign up to Australia Sport Get a daily roundup of the latest sports news, features and comment from our Australian sports desk after newsletter promotion “I can’t be prouder of the boys,” he said. “As a coach, what you want to do is turn up and fight for each other and fight for their jersey and show what the club means to them. We saw that tonight.” Demetriou also offered an explanation for storming out of a press conference after 27 seconds on Friday, following four questions about his future. The Souths coach had been subject to reports the club were eying off national coach Mal Meninga as a potential interim replacement for the rest of the year. However, last night Meninga denied he has been approached by Rabbitohs officials. “I’m walking out to do a press conference with the noise that’s going on and the things that have been said and done,” Demetriou said. “There’s no real point me standing there answering questions about it. It doesn’t serve any purpose for the players, it doesn’t serve any purpose for me. “So I said what I needed to say and I ended the interview.”

half at TD Garden. Mandatory Credit: Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports The Boston Celtics have been the best team in the NBA this season. They have been the top seed in the Eastern Conference all year, being the only team to cross the 60-win mark. A major reason for the Celtics’ success has been dominant performances from starters. Following the addition of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, they’ve become unstoppable! And by the looks of how much the Celtics are willing to spend on keeping them, their era of dominance might just be getting started. According to a report, the total cost of the extensions Celtics’ starting 5 have already inked or are likely to ink has reached a whopping $918,698,433. Visibly, they’ve gone all-out to keep their star-studded lineup intact, in the hope of bringing another Championship to Boston. Their starting lineup includes Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White. Jaylen Brown signed a 5-year $304 million supermax extension last summer, the richest contract in NBA history. Brown’s new contract will kick in next season and likely keep him in Boston through the 2028-29 season. Kristaps Porzingis also signed a 2-year $60 million contract extension in 2023, which will come into effect next season. The latest addition to the Celtics’ plan is Jrue Holiday, who declined his $37.3 million player option for next season to sign a 4-year $135 million extension this week. What about Tatum? And with the way Derrick White has played this year, the Celtics are likely to re-sign him after his current 4-year $70 million contract ends next year. Although the Celtics are projected to spend nearly a billion dollars on their starting 5, Boston fans seem content with their decision after focusing on the bigger picture. Many Celtics fans believed this could be their only chance to win another Championship and liked the team’s decision to go all in. This fan appreciated the franchise’s vision considering the bland future after the current superstars perish. He continued, “This rebuild is gonna hurt, but it’s worth it.” i’m willing to accept the fact i may not see another championship for the next 20 years after this run. this rebuild is gonna hurt but it’s worth it https://t.co/vVftEmt7Y3 — «Chris» (@justdoitchriss2) April 11, 2024 Expand Tweet A fan shared the same sentiment and claimed winning one Championship would justify the $900+ million expenditure. That’s what wise ownership should do when their front office drafts, signs, and trades for good players — Ben Schwartz (@schwartzy51) April 11, 2024 Expand Tweet One fan demanded Derrick White’s extension, claiming that it would complete the Celtics’ masterplan. Give me a D White ext and were good! — Stan Deeks (@DeeksStan) April 11, 2024 Expand Tweet ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad Well, the fans are obviously happy with how this season has panned out. Amid distressing times for ownership in the NBA with the Timberwolves’ legal mess capturing every headline, Boston fans’ public appreciation for their team’s owners comes as a breath of fresh air! Derrick White is the only starter whose future with the Celtics is uncertain. But Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix believes, “I don’t think Holiday’s extension prevents the Celtics from signing Derrick White.” White has upped his value with his performance this season, averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. The Celtics will likely make the right offer to keep White in Boston and not ruin the team’s chemistry.
