Her er mine tips til kva ein kan gjera, og til slutt mine «must-haves» til buketten!

Førebuing:

-ver nøye med ugras-reinskinga

-fyll på med god jord/næring; kukompost, hønsegjødsel, brent hestemøk… det ein måtte ynskja . Pass berre på at det ikkje vert for sterk kost for plantene. Er eg usikker på om det vert for sterkt, passar eg på at gjødsla ikkje kjem i direkte kontakt med røtene/plantene.

-plant dei høgaste bak eller i midten, og dei lågaste lengst framme, så alle får lys og god plass.

-plant ganske tett, og dekk jorda med grasklypp. Då treng du ikkje tenkja på luking heile sommaren, og jorda tørkar ikkje så fort ut.

-Lag plantestøtter til dei som treng det, i god tid før det trengst ( her har eg brent meg mangen gongar, så ligg plantene paddeflate over dei andre plantene etter ein god vind..) I år skal eg setja ned pinnar på ulike stadar i bedet, og dra eitt tynt tau mellom dei, så det blir eitt heilt støtte-nett.

I løpet av sommaren:

  • fjern visne blomar (dead-heading), så blømer plantene heile sommaren
  • pass på sniglane, iallefall til plantene har fått litt størrelse
  • vatna godt morgon eller kveld i periodar med fint vér. Betre med mykje og ikkje så ofte, enn litt vatn ofte. Sjølvvatninngssystem gjer vatninga til ein leik!
  • Vurdér om det trengst tilførsel av meir gjødsel utover sommaren, alt etter kva du valde å gjødsla med på våren

Stauder passar fint ilag med sommarblomane, som brudeslør, ryllik, alunrot, peon.

Roser gjer seg godt i buketten, og greiner av spirea, svarthyll, parykkbusk, kornell og eucalypyptus.

Ta med ein bukett frå din eigen hage når du skal på besøk, eller pynt bordet heime. Lag ein bukett til å pynta ei grav, eller gje til nokon som treng ei oppmuntring. Det kan vera vel så fint det ein har heime i hagen som det ein får i blomebutikken, og det ligg meir omtanke bak noko ein har plukka og komponert sjølv.

Snitt blomane rett før dei skal i vatn. I vasen blandar du vatn, ei teskei sukker, ei teskei sitronsaft og nokre dråpar klorin.
